It was a great pleasure hosting Mr. Ivanhoe Chang, Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO SF) and Mr. Lawrence Chiu, Officer-In-Charge of Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC LA) for our second webinar - Hong Kong in response to COVID-19 on May 19. This 45 minutes webinar was moderated by Ms. Kory Lam, the HKANC current board member and Vice President cluster Branch Manager of HSBC Bank (USA) N.A.
During this webinar, Ivanhoe shared several updates on the Hong Kong pandemic overview with supplemental graphics and charts. Given the fact of Hong Kong's successful containment of COVID-19, he further explained key measures and policies that the Hong Kong government implemented.
Followed by Lawrence's informative presentation, the audiences learned about market updates in Hong Kong and China, including economic performance and several vital facts that are influencing it. He also shared how HKTDC is supporting the buyer-seller connection during this unprecedented time, and how they utilize the online portals to further-facilitate business connection globally.
