Introduce yourself to our members. Tell us who you are.
Dear HKANC Members and Friends, it is my honor to be one of the Board of Directors since 2019. I joined HKANC as a corporate member since 2014. I was born and completed my high school diploma in Hong Kong before coming to the Bay Area to pursue further college education. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, specific emphasis on real estate investment, from California State of University, East Bay. A year before my college graduation in 1993, I obtained my real estate license and started my real estate career in San Francisco/Bay Area since then. I am a local real estate developer and the President/Founder of Pillar Capital Group.
For community services, I am the Chairman of the Board of Asian Pacific American Community Center (APACC), San Francisco. APACC is a 501c(3) non-profit organization in Visitation Valley dedicated to serving the underprivileged Asian communities.
What does your business do?
With over 28 years of experience in real estate development, project management, marketing, commercial sales, and property management, I have led Pillar Capital Group into the global marketplace by forming significant partnerships locally and internationally through her 3 offices located in San Francisco, Boston and Hong Kong. I manage over approximately $250M in value of the real estate development projects in San Francisco. I am also one of the owners/founders of the Fonto Pillar International Real Estate Limited in Hong Kong. The company provides real estate brokerage services in Hong Kong and promotes San Francisco/Bay Area real estate investment opportunities to the Hong Kong/Asian investors. Learn More Here
What made you decide to join HKANC?
I was invited to join HKANC as a corporate member since 2014 by Kory Lam, who is a good friend of mine as well as my fellow Board Member at the HKANC. Before joining as a corporate member, I was invited to attend multiple networking events and annual galas. I was impressed and inspired by the HKANC members and directors of their enthusiasms and contributions towards the community and acting as a bridge between Hong Kong and the Bay Area businesses. I always meet new people through their informative events. It is my honor to be part of the organization and help promote businesses between these two remarkable regions in the world.
What would you like to say to our members?
I strongly encourage you to join us as a member. We offer individual membership as well as corporate membership. HKANC is a great platform to meet new friends and grow your networks locally and internationally. We are well connected with the other Hong Kong Associations in the United States and all over the world. I look forward to meeting you in our events.
